Shane started at Total Floor Covering in 1992 as an installer assistant. He worked with many installers and began to learn and understand the art of installing tile, craftsmanship of wood, and the tricks of the trade for carpet. Shane moved to the warehouse at Total Floor Covering for a while and then into sales and managing. By working in every aspect of the store, Shane not only understands and appreciates the technical aspects of flooring and its installation, but all the employees at Total Floor Covering as well. Shane is very proud to own and manage Total Floor Covering. His desire for 100% customer satisfaction is a goal that he takes very personally and seriously. Shane is passionate about the environment and encourages green flooring. He is consistently exploring new, affordable, and innovative ways to make Total Floor Covering more eco-friendly. Shane is also very involved in our community and giving back. He is a proud Rotarian, serves on the Rebuild Together Board of Directors, and volunteers for several other local non-profit organizations. Shane thanks the team at Total Floor Covering for all of their hard work and dedication, and also our customers for supporting a locally-owned family business.
Carol has been involved with Total Floor Covering since the beginning in 1968. The company started on Wisconsin Ave in Appleton, Wisconsin, then worked out of her and her husband Bruce’s home for 14 years. In 1991, she built the current location on Westhill Boulevard. You may not see Carol when you come in the store because her expertise is behind the scenes with all of the paperwork that comes with running a business.
Connee came to us with over 25 years’ experience in the building field. As an Appleton native, Connee and her husband have raised two adult children and now share their home with their dog, Riley! Connee also assists her contractor husband with his business. Her current position keeps her mainly working behind the scenes. She loves to step out and help where ever she is needed!
Being Total Floor Covering’s only Commercial Sales Representative, Ralph stays very busy. One commercial project could take several weeks to complete, and sometimes months. Ralph spends his time reading blue prints, meeting with clients and contractors, and spending time on-site to assure everything goes as scheduled. You may have visited some of Ralph’s designs here in the Fox Valley. He has assisted with Spat’s Restaurant, DejaVu, The Children’s Museum, and The Menasha Cinema. No matter how big or small the project may be, Ralph will take the time to give you the look and décor you are trying to achieve for your space.
